Factions of Nehwon

Bastinado's Ilthmarts

Campaigns:
Stormlands 2
A rat crept softly through the vegetation
Dragging its slimy belly on the bank
While I was fishing in the dull canal
Cap'n Bastinado led a scabby gang of Ilthmarish wererats to take over the Revenge from Black Annie. Some of the members of Bastinado's crew are Scabrule, Poxetus, Fleabis the Fun-eatin' and Loosefur. The ratmen were scoundrels to the last; no deed was too dirty for them. They were killed by Griflet and his rangers when they reclaimed the Revenge.

Black Hats

Campaigns:
Tulan
The Black Hats are a group of vigilantes who formed during the Berghovian Undead war under the leadership of Wyric and his wife Myrti. They fight with mace and crossbow. Since the end of the war, they have been distrusted and wander the wilderness. Notable Black Hats are: Viggo, Theros and Pahir

Diamond Knights

Campaigns:
Old Coast
The Diamond Knights were an order of chivalrous warriors started in Tisinilit by Al-Nisr. After he travelled west, never to return, the Diamond Knights prospered along the Old Coast, ruling a great territory from their castle Ka-Zoza. But they grew too wealthy and arrogant. They angered the rulers of the cities of the coast, and fell to internal squabbles. Some Diamond Knights like Lord Zartek and Lord Wrenchid, turned to Chaos. Soon, very little remained of the old order except old ruins. On the Lankhmar Continent however, especially in Berghof and the Lakes of Pleea, the ideals of the Diamond Knights lived on. The fortunes of the Diamond Knights have been bad lately. At the behest of Prince Muburuk and Lord Jadyn of Kadesh, Christian of the High Passes ambushed and almost destroyed a band of Diamond Knights, though he later repented and saved a knight called Kendall. Elsewhere, Quarn and Lucidia explored the ancient Diamond Knight fortress of Ka-Nisra, but found only ghosts.

Druids of Sibilan

Campaigns:
Stormlands, Stormlands 2
From the Druids' point of view, the recent Stormlands Campaign was a fiasco. The Grey Man, although he was evil and had declared himself against all other druids, represented about a third of Druidic power in Northern Lankhmar. With his elimination, the druids' power has been weakened.

Still, Rokon is not complaining. Thanks to the actions of Griflet and his band, Rokon is now Great Druid, having deposed Heironymous.

Elves

Campaigns:
Stormlands, Stormlands 2, Griflet's Adventures
The elves (they call themselves the People) have been a race in decline since the end of their war with Quarmall which destroyed much forest and many lives. The elves are a cold people. They despise the barbarous humans as little more than beast-men. The elves were ruled by Imric until he was killed in the Nightmare. Then Griflet organised them to relocate to the forest near Lorn Velpa, where they have been forced to interact with humans to a certain extent.

Fellowship of Mystery

Campaigns:
Fellowship of Mystery
The Fellowship of Mystery is a company of adventurers originally formed by Willow of the Two Swords and Devlin Hawkmoon. The Fellowship operated around the city of Carse in Berghof, gaining much renown in that kingdom. Members of the Fellowship were, at various times: Akbar, Father Antos of Law, Arsimes III, Aspen, Bakkish the Fire Sorceror, Changeling, Darla Greenwitch, Dorien Greysky, Grimble, Harg Secondson, Iquar the Monk, Lucia, Lullaby Blackfoot, Katrina, Kynewolf, Madwan the Bard, Mycella, Myria, Oceanus, Ogion, Ryn Pipweed, Strakon the Hare, Sir Vox the Silent, Tom and Will Stoutly and Voltron the Sorceror. In the autumn of the Year of the Basilisk, Arden Starfall joined the Fellowship. Young, powerful and ambitious he gradually assumed control of the band, especially by recruiting adventurers loyal to himself. This led to some friction between him and Willow.

Under Starfall's direction the Fellowship ranged wider and became more influential, but also attracted the attention of the powerful of Carse. Callistro tried to recruit Arden Starfall into the Brotherhood of Dalshra, and when he refused, burned the Fellowship's manor house to the ground. Later Malac sent the Fellowship to Irilian to have the Dark destroy them there so that they would not interfere with his coup. After Starfall's death at Irilian, Willow reassumed the leadership of the Fellowship, and the company moved into the Keep of Dreams north of Irilian, a reward from the grateful city counseil.

The Company was then banished from Dunmere by Bailiff Weras. Surviving members of the Company are: Lieutenant Oceraw, Wiciseth, Legelaw the Athletic, Agraekath and Fealith.

Gypsy Nation

Campaigns:
Old Coast
The Gypsy Nation is a nomadic nation which wanders the Old Coast en masse from as far north as Sarheenmar to as far south as Kadesh. Horn Hulfing had family ties to the Gypsy Nation and when he was killed by Quarn and Lucidia, the Gypsy Nation besieged Kadesh for three months, demanding that they be surrendered. Eventually, poor food and morale dispersed the siege, but not before causing Prince Muburuk great inconvenience.

Lake-Men of Pleea

Stormlands 2
The Lake-Men are relatively peaceful fisherfolk of the Lake-lands of Pleea, who follow the Eagle's Way of Al-Nisr. They are mostly unaware of the Protectors.

The Protectors

Wild Elves

Campaigns:
Old Coast
The Wild Elves are descendants of the royal guard of King Celedril, who refused to leave the isle of Zeçy with Imric and Coryon and their retinues after the Battle of Sorrows. Instead they vowed to protect the Blessed Isle from all intruders. This vow was broken when Griflet reached the island and managed to enter Celedril's tomb. Lorathon Shadowblade was a Wild Elf. The Wild Elves are led by the War Council of Zeçy. The nine members are: Jaern Shadowblade (grand-nephew of Lorathon), Firvien, Thion Bearspear, Bright-Star, Andril, Letheon, Tharisien Goldenbow, Ceder and Tallbow Wintershine.

Shawei, the Pale Elves of Tovilyis

Campaigns:
Old Coast
The Shawei are Coryon's gloom-ridden Elves of Tovilyis. When that city was destroyed along with the Quarmallian army by the Dragon Bloodbane, the Shawei were left with neither city nor kin nor ruler. They became dispirited and some turned to Chaos. They had very little contact with any of Imric's kin until Griflet came searching the city for forgotten lore in the Year of the Gorgon. At that time one Shawei, Helias joined Griflet's band.
